Roanoke Academy's girls' competitive gymnastics team is the most talented and successful in Western Virginia.  Our team follows the rules and policy guidlines of the USAG national governing body.  We are very proud of wour accomplishments at STATE, REGIONAL, and NATIONAL levels.  We take great pride in the success of our team.  Our coaches have many years of expertise and experience which attribut to our successful competitive program.  Our coaches and gymnasts are the best in the valley!

This group is an introductory group which combines additional training time with more advanced skills for girls who have shown strong ability in our Beginner class program.

 

Aerials

For girls from our intermediate program who have demonstrated a desire to invest additional time and effort in the sport for the purpose of advancing to competitive team in the future. 

 

USAG Pre-team

Tumblebees

For ages 4-5, this team takes gymnasts from our preschool classes who have demonstrated an aptitude for gymnastics and a love for the sport conducive to advancing through the USAG program and representing Roanoke Academy competitively.

Level 2

A continuation of the USAG Pre-team Program, girls at this level will combine strengthening and flexibility work with a curriculum of skills designed to challenge them and to prepare them for competitive team.

Level 3

One step away from competition, gymnasts at this level will be challenged with skills of increasing difficulty to prepare them for competing at a level consistent with the standards of our program.


 

USAG Competitive Team

Roanoke Academy competes on a state, regional, and national level in the USAG Junior Olympic Program. Compulsory levels 4, 5 and 6 feature routines developed by USAG for competition. Optional levels 7, 8, 9, and 10 feature gymnasts who have advanced successfully to the upper levels of our sport. We take great pride here at having top-quality gymnasts at these levels. Our coaches and gymnasts take gymnastics seriously and strive to develop our talents to their fullest.
